Find an item you want and make a swap offer using one or more items from your inventory. The other person can accept, decline, or counter-offer. Once agreed, both parties ship their items with tracked delivery. For swaps over £30, items are routed through Swopsee HQ for verification before being forwarded.
Buyer Protection is automatically applied to all purchases for a small fee. Your payment is held in secure escrow until you confirm the item has arrived in the condition described. If the item never arrives, is damaged in transit, or is significantly not as described, you can raise a dispute within 2 days of delivery for a full refund.
Swapper Protection adds a layer of security to item trades. For swaps valued over £30 it’s mandatory; under £30 it’s optional. Both items are shipped to Swopsee HQ first, where they’re verified before being forwarded to their new owners. If there’s a problem with either item, both are returned.
Browsing, listing items, and basic swapping are completely free. Buyer Protection and Swapper Protection include small fees to cover secure handling, escrow, and support. There are no hidden subscription or platform fees.
SwopCreds are credits you earn by being an active, positive member of the community — things like leaving reviews, adding quality photos, and completing swaps on time. You can use them to boost your listings so they appear higher in search results.
We recommend tracked delivery for all transactions. You can arrange your own shipping or use our integrated shipping options. For swaps with Swapper Protection, both items are sent to Swopsee HQ first for verification. In-person handovers are possible but we strongly recommend meeting in safe, public locations.
When a buyer purchases your item, their payment is held in escrow. Once the buyer confirms delivery (or after the 2-day confirmation window passes), the funds are released to your connected payout account via Stripe.
